Being Present

The Ins and Outs of Mindfulness

Welcome!

I bet you have lots and lots of questions about meditation and mindfulness.  I sure did when I started, some 20 years ago.  These posts help answer your questions about most things related to mindfulness, meditation, and living a mindful life.

This blog is for you if . . .

            . . . you are curious.

. . .  you tried to start a meditation practice, gave up, and want to try again.

. . . you are struggling to establish a daily practice.

. . . you had a practice, lost it, and would like to start again.

. . . you have an active practice and want to enhance or deepen it.

Not only have I been practicing meditation – almost – daily for decades, but I became so passionate about it that I became a certified teacher.

It was a real gift to study with great masters like Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Eckhart Tolle, Ruth King, Joseph Goldstein, Gil Fronsdal, Oren Jay Sofer, and others.

I have been teaching mindfulness meditation for almost 10 years and used meditation as a therapeutic tool in my work as a clinical psychologist.  I became more passionate about the mental and physical health benefits of a regular meditation practice as clients got better and found more well-being.

This blog includes the many questions students, clients, and fellow teachers have asked, covering many topics and ideas. I hope you find posts that speak to you and answer your questions.

I hope what you read might generate interest, inspiration, and encouragement to begin, resume, or deepen your practice.

Feel free to post questions for me to consider as you journey this path.

Thanks for being here.
